Whales visit here in Winter |
Wow!! Don't you just love my new location? We finally decided it was time for that sea change and leave the city forever. (Well not exactly, we still have half our things in the city including DH. lol) Still, I'm ecstatic! It really is the best place to live.
I didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted. So much has been going on. A new location, a new job, very little internet download, and sadly no sewing...(ho hum!) It's taking time for me to get my sewing things moved and in order. I've got new shelving to store things but unfortunately my space is smaller than before and I just don't know where to put anything. Ideally I should purge but I must say I really, really aren't very good at getting rid of things, particularly when they pertain to my sewing. Everyone's like that aren't they? What I'm saying is... you never know when you might just want that small remnant of fabric for a trim or something, know what I mean? I guess I'll get it all here (there's still a fair bit waiting to get moved) and sorted eventually. I hope it doesn't take too long, as I'm itching to start sewing again.
In the meantime, I have started to knit a baby jacket for our first grandchild due in May and have been searching for fabric to sew a few things. Isn't it funny how you can get the perfect fabric when you don't need it, but when you want it there's none to be found anywhere. I didn't realize how hard it was to find the right fabric. Oh well, I'm sure something will turn up soon.
Till next time...
Those are some big changes!! moving house, new grandchild... good luck with your lovely new location, it is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your move. I have not regreted moving to the country 18 years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh, do you really think a 1.5cm binding is wide? Interesting! I think if you follow my method just as written you will find you do not need to topstitch down on the outside as the inner binding will not flip out :)
